Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing that has been practised for over 3000 years in China. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health depends on the body's energy known as Qi moving in a smooth and balanced way through meridians (invisible channels). Qi consists of equal and opposite qualities (Yin and Yang) and when these become unbalanced, illness may result.

Acupuncture is a form of therapy in which fine, disposable needles are inserted into specific points on the body. A slight tingling sensation is felt as the energy flows along the meridians. The aim of acupuncture is to regulate the flow of vital energy and stimulate the body's own healing response to help restore its natural balance.

Modern studies have proven that acupuncture is highly effective in treating a wide range of conditions, from pain problems, menopause, migraine and skin disorders, as well as emotional matters, etc.

Acupressure (Tuina massage)

Acupressure is based on similar principles to acupuncture. No needles are used but pressure is applied with hands & fingers to stimulate energy meridians. Tuina is widely used for stress, anxiety, pain and for general well being. Many types are available from full body massage to leg and head-neck-shoulder massage.

Chinese Reflexology

Chinese foot massage is to stimulate the nerve endings in feet to improve circulation, activate Qi in the body and also promote relaxation and health. All begin with a mixed herbal foot soak followed by your preferred combination of scrub, cream & massage.

Chinese Herbal Therapy

Chinese herbal medicine is primarily concerned with eradicating the
cause of ill through holistic treatment of the individual. Each herb
is used for specific purposes and performs particular functions. By
taking carefully selected herbs, Chinese herbal medicine aims to
restore balance, support Qi and return us to health.

Cupping Therapy

A therapy in which a jar is placed on the skin surface to cause local
congestion, through the removal of the air in the jar. This method
promotes the free flow of Qi and blood in the channels, and prevents
diseases.

Ear Candle

The use of an ear candle, creating a warm pulling sensation in the
ear, helps dry out fluid, clean out ear wax, stimulate the immune
system and promote the release of toxins from the body.
